Thursday, April 8th, 2010

Tired of downloading the same plugins over and over again in different computers so that you can use the social networking feature available through the plugins? If you are, then check out Flock browser instead. It specializes in social networking while maintaining the whole concept of a web browser.

Flock is a product of the Mozilla engine. This means that it retains the whole functionality of Mozilla Firefox while having a lot of power in social networking. This is the same as Songbird, a media player that is powered also by the Mozilla engine.

The performance of the Flock Browser is somewhat similar to Mozilla Firefox. Unlike the Google Chrome, it rarely crashes. However, due to several addons built in Flock Browser, it consumes a bit more memory as compared with Firefox.

Flock supports a whopping amount of 20 different services amongst them are Bebo, Facebook, Gmail, Youtube and a lot more. It doesn’t stop at social networking but instead, websites such as WordPress and LiveJournal is also supported by Flock.

It is supported by all three major operating system: Windows, Mac and Linux. So, there will be little to no compatibility issue with Flock.

Flock browser is highly recommended for social networking enthusiasts as it covers a big part of social networking.

Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome? Yours to choose

Internet Explorer is no longer the best web browser on the Internet. Sure, it may be one of the most used web browser on the planet but it is also due to the fact that it is made available on all of the computers powered by any of Microsoft’s operating systems. If all of the computers have choices made available for the users (like what is happening on Windows shipped computers in the EU) then it is more likely for IE to lose its dominance in the market.

If the user puts Internet Explorer aside, he or she will be left with a lot more choices of web browsers but chances are, he or she will choose either Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome which are the second and third most used web browsers on the Internet.

Mozilla Firefox newest version if of 3.6. It comes with the support Personas, which is actually a theme for the web browser. These look very attractive by the way with thousands of choices for the users. It also has a lot of plugins available for the user to choose from and a lot of these are very handy as well. Mozilla Firefox is known for its security and every month or so, there will certainly be an update.

Google Chrome on the other hand boasts as one of the fastest web browser on the planet and in most cases, this is probably true. It is extremely lightweight and works best in all kinds of computers may it be a new one or a legacy PC.

Mozilla’s Firefox 3.5 is one of the most secure and user-friendly browsers currently available.  With many different features to improve your browsing experience and with over 6000 add-ons, Firefox has consistently ranked as one of the top browsers on the market.

One of the most innovative and useful ideas that Firefox has included is the ability for it to incorporate add-ons. Add-ons are small additions that you can equip to web browser in order to improve your overall browsing experience. Ranging from blogger tools all the way to additions that will help you download web videos, add-ons are fast becoming a pivotal part of browsing the web effectively.

Firefox was the first browser to incorporate tabs into its design, and Mozilla hasn’t departed from this. Firefox now has a redo tab function, which will enable users to reopen accidentally closed tabs. One of the newest features that Mozilla has added to its browser is called Super Speed. By utilizing a new Java script engine, Firefox is able to render web pages faster and use less of your systems resources.

Another cool and new features that Firefox 3.5 comes equipped with is called Private Browsing.  When you activate Private Browsing you can explore the Internet without leaving any evidence of where you’ve gone. This not only protects your privacy, but also all of your personal information. Firefox’s private browsing feature can be turned off at any point, making it one of the most innovative features Mozilla has ever added.

Another new feature is called Forget This Site. This feature removes all the evidence that you’ve ever visited a specific site.

It appears that for the most part Firefox is without any real flaws. In the past there have been several bugs in Firefox, but Mozilla seem to have fixed a majority of these.

With all these new and improved features, it’s no wonder that Mozilla’s Firefox 3.5 is arguably one of the best browsers available.
