When gaming consoles were first debuted, the images were very pixilated and not many games were available as well. That changed to 3D graphic in the 2nd generation consoles while the 3rd generation consoles paved way to HD gaming. This has surely caused a drastic change in the games technology.
Some examples of the third generation gaming consoles include the Playstation 3 by Sony, the Xbox 360 by Microsoft and the Nintendo Wii. The gameplay on these consoles were different as compared with their previous generation counterparts.
With the release of 3D HDTV, it is said that the 4th generation consoles will be equipped with real 3D capability much like the 3D movies in the cinema. Amongst those that are being said is the Playstation 4. The PS4 is said to sport 3D capabilities amongst many other new features including components superior to those that is being equipped in the Playstation 3.
