Predictions are no longer restricted to weather. Instead, travel fares can be predicted with the help of Farecast. The company was acquired by Microsoft for around $75 to $115 million in 2008 and is now called Bing Travel.
Behind the site lies a program that predicts the airfare. What it does is search the prices in hundreds of travel agencies and predicts the future price based on the given data. The price predictor on the other hand, gives a good suggestion whether to wait or to buy the ticket at any given date. It also tells the decrease in price as well as the confidence level of whether the price would change or not.
In addition of comparing with its internal database, visitors can also compare prices on any of its competing websites as well. Such examples are Expedia and Hotwire. Visitors can choose where they want to depart from and where they would want to go. Seat classes are available in the Economy, Business or First Class and visitors can check fares for up to 6 adults as well.
Bing Travel or Farecast works worldwide. So, it doesn’t matter where the traveler’s location may be, it will most probably work just the way he or she intended it to be.

There are so many things that can be done online and before, one should only hope in using Adobe Photoshop or any other offline programs to edit their photos. Today, the online solution lies on a website called Picnik.
The site was founded earlier in 2005 and was recently purchased by Google on the first day of March 2010. Its headquarters lie in Washington, USA.
Registration is not needed to utilize its service. Users can also import their photos from social networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace. In fact, photos can also be obtained through websites such as Flickr and Picasa.
Picnik allows basic editing to be done online. This includes cropping, resizing and many more. There are also various effects such as vignette, sepia and some others that can be used by the user as well.
Users are given two choices of Picnik, the free or premium version. Premium version has added feature that would be good for the tech savvy. However, we find that the free version would suit those wanting to do some basic editing on the Internet.
The site uses the latest version of flash and no previous version is accepted. Downloading the latest version of flash do not take a long time and with a decent broadband, it can be as quickly as 5 minutes.

One of the sites that are currently buzzing around the Internet is Lockerz.com. It is an invitation only website which is meant to connect people by means of commerce, social networking as well as contents.
The site currently has millions of members worldwide and getting a membership isn’t hard as well. Invites are unlimited so those that want to join Lockerz can ask someone that is already in the membership. The members will be more than willing to invite the people because it allows them to be a Z-Lister.
There are points (also called as PTZ) to be collected and once a person has accumulated a large amount of PTZ, they can exchange these PTZs for prizes. Getting PTZ is easy. By logging in the website for at least once a day, member will get 2 PTZ points. Answering the Dailies will also enable them to get 2 points. However, Z-Listers will get double the points as compared with a normal member. For a normal member, they are entitled to get up to 4 PTZs per day and Z-Listers are entitled to double of that.
The site has yet to be officially launched. However, it already has a lot of members inside it and it may be best to get invited as soon as possible before the official launch!
