Ever wish that there wouldn’t be a need of emailing a peer multiple times just so that he or she can see the revision? Well, the solution lies with DocVerse. Like the Google Docs, DocVerse allows two or more people to share and edit their documents in real-time. In fact, it supports 3 Microsoft Office documents which are the Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents.
One of the key features of DocVerse is the plug-in for Microsoft Office. Users can continue using their Microsoft Office applications to do their work and it will still be synchronized with the people that are meant to view and edit files.
In addition to that, people that the documents are shared with can also give out their comments. Discussions can also take place at the sidebar of any of the Microsoft Office applications. It works like an instant messenger but with productivity involved.
An activity stream and version history is also available so that users can keep track of what is currently happening once they are back online. This also means that the people who are offline will not miss any important information.
DocVerse has been acquired by Google recently so there aren’t any new pricing structures as well as new plugin downloads available so far. However, this will soon change. Keep checking the website for updates.
